The Research Program
The Maha Framework
One question, pursued across every scale at which it appears: what governs the organization of complex adaptive systems?
Physics asks what governs matter. Biology asks what governs life. This body of work asks what governs organization itself — the recurring grammar by which complex systems, from civilizations to cells to minds, hold their form against decay.
What follows is not a catalogue of products. It is a map of an inquiry in progress: where it began, where it has reached, and where it is going next.
The Spine · Two Directions, One Question
Civilization → Inward
The Maha Principle
The Architecture of Human Flourishing
Begins with the visible crises of modern life — metabolic, attentional, relational — and works inward to the coupled failure beneath them. How complex human systems flourish, stagnate, and renew.
Cognition → Outward
The Orbital Mind
The Astrophysics of the Self
Begins with the oldest stable system we know intimately — the solar system — and works outward to the mind, using orbital organization as a descriptive map for cognition. How a single intelligence generates and coordinates systems in the first place.
The Work
An Evolving Body of Work
The framework expresses itself in several forms — a planned eight-volume sequence of books that argue it, research that tests it, and tools that apply it. The arc moves outward in scale, from the individual to the species to the cosmos, before turning back to synthesize the whole. The first book is now available; the rest are in development or planned, and are marked as such. What follows is a map of the inquiry, not a catalogue of finished products.
The Books · An Eight-Volume Arc
Phase I · The Individual
Securing and understanding the single human system
The first three books work at the scale of one person — the body, the mind, and the relationship between a human and the machines now augmenting it.
I · The Maha Principle
Nonfiction · The Architecture of Human Flourishing
The foundation. Argues that metabolic decline, attentional capture, and social disconnection are one coupled failure, and lays out the M.A.H.A. framework for rebuilding the physical and cognitive baseline.
II · The Orbital Mind
Nonfiction · The Astrophysics of the Self
Maps the organization of the solar system onto the architecture of cognition — a descriptive framework, grounded in dissipative-systems theory and neuroscience, for navigating one's own psychology.
III · The Synthetic Self
Nonfiction · On Artificial Intelligence
Examines machine intelligence as a compression of the human record — and argues that the alignment problem is, at root, a human problem reflected back at us. How to integrate AI as a genuine partner rather than a dependency.
Phase II · The Species
From individual to lineage
With the individual system in view, the inquiry scales up to ask how the questions of change, enhancement, and design play out at the level of humanity as a whole.
IV · The Unfinished Species
Nonfiction · On Intentional Human Futures
A book-length examination of the questions raised as humanity gains tools to shape its own biology and trajectory — what it means to move from undirected evolution toward deliberate, ethically fraught design. Explored as open inquiry, not prophecy.
Phase III · The Inner and the Shared
From the outer scale back to the interior
The inquiry turns inward again — to the faculty of imagination that lets a mind reach past the actual, and to the language, relationships, and inheritance out of which a self is actually assembled.
V · The Imagined Life
Philosophy · On Imagination and Aspiration
An honest account of the imagined life — not the fantasy that a wish delivers itself, but the real chain by which imagination reshapes the one who imagines, who then acts. How the faculty of picturing the not-yet-real becomes the engine of a life.
VI · The Borrowed Light
Philosophy · On the Relational Self
An examination of the self as something assembled from what is not itself — the language others gave us, the people who shaped us, the inheritance we did not choose. That a mind is lit, in large part, by borrowed light. (Working title.)
Phase IV · The Cosmos and the Synthesis
From the biological to the philosophical
The final two volumes are openly speculative — extending the framework's organizing question to its largest scale, then turning back to reconcile the whole. Clearly labeled as inquiry rather than established claim.
VII · The Cosmic Recursion
Speculative philosophy · On Mind and Cosmos
A philosophical exploration of the parallels between physical and cognitive organization — taking seriously, and examining critically, the family of ideas that treat structure in the universe and structure in the mind as expressions of a shared grammar.
VIII · The Mayon Paradox
Memoir · A Synthesis
The closing synthesis, told personally: an attempt to reconcile the individual and the collective, self-possession and interdependence, into a single coherent picture of a life. The capstone of the arc, and the most personal volume in it — the self examined openly, as something built from everything it is not.
Applied
Maha OS
Mobile application · iOS & Android
The framework operationalized as a daily practice — a private mobile companion for product-label scanning and self-directed routines.
Maha Strategies Applications
Public application documentation · educational and local-first tools
Documentation for the wider application portfolio, including Maha OS, The Dream Engine, and the free Mayon Volcano educational visualization. Each application publishes its own purpose, evidence, privacy, and safety boundaries.
Research
The M·A·H·A Framework
Working paper · An Integrative Architecture for Resisting Systemic Metabolic, Attentional, and Relational Extraction
The formal foundation. Formalizes the framework as an integrative socio-biological model: that contemporary metabolic, attentional, and relational pathologies are coupled downstream consequences of a single extractive architecture. Develops the proposed couplings, sets boundary conditions, and concludes with a formal falsifiability protocol — every claim tagged by evidence level.

Supporting Papers
Research series · Maha Strategies Research
A growing set of working papers testing cross-disciplinary structural analogies that stress the framework's claims — presented as falsifiable hypotheses under explicit provenance discipline, several archived with their own DOIs.
A Note on Method
This is an active research program, not a finished system. Items marked in development or planned are exactly that — work underway or intended, listed openly rather than implied.
For a transparent map of the public sites, tools, research, and their distinct evidence boundaries, see the Maha Knowledge Network.
The models offered across this work are conceptual tools, not final answers. They are meant to be examined, refined, criticized, and extended. If they prove useful, it will not be because they end inquiry, but because they help organize it. That has been the purpose from the beginning.
